The Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for free communication and poster presentation on any of the following topics:

  1. Early prenatal diagnosis
  2. Ultrasound in late pregnancy and labour
  3. Multiple pregnancies management
  4. Optimization of perinatal outcome in our region
  5. Maternal and fetal impact of high-risk pregnancy
  6. The future of vaginal delivery today


Please read the following instructions before completing the on-line abstract submission form:

  1. Before submitting an abstract on-line, you are required to log in by entering your username and password. If you are visiting for the first time you will be asked to sign up by creating your own username and password, which can then be used for any future visit to the Congress on-line services (registrations, hotel accommodation, etc.).
  2. All abstracts must be written in English. Abstracts in other languages will not be accepted.
  3. Only abstracts submitted on-line will be accepted. Abstracts submitted by fax, e-mail or hard copy will not be accepted.
  4. The abstract submission deadline is January 15th, 2013.
  5. At least one of the abstract's authors is required to pre-register until January 15th, 2013 to ensure its presentation in the Scientific Program and its publication in the Congress printed material.
  6. The Congress Scientific Committee will evaluate all received abstracts and their authors will be notified of the evaluation's results until January 15th, 2013.
  7. If an author wishes to withdraw a submitted abstract, a written request should be sent to the Congress Organizing Secretariat.
  8. Abstracts will not be accepted for review, in case of:
    1. Missing data or forms.
    2. An abstract exceeding 250 words.
    3. An abstract that does not conform to the guidelines mentioned below
  9. The authors are requested to select the topic category of their abstract and the way it will be presented. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to include the presentation of the abstract in a session according to the requirements of the scientific program, or change from an oral to a poster presentation.


  1. Abstracts are required to adhere to the following structure: Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion. Abstract texts for case reports should adhere to the following structure: Objective, Clinical Description, Discussion, Conclusion.
  2. The maximum amount of words is 250.
  3. Number references should be placed in the order they appear in the abstract.
  4. The Title should be as brief as possible (no more than two rows) and in BOLD and CAPITALS
  5. All Authors' names should be written in Title Case, with the family name following the first name. The name of the presenting author must be underlined. Names should be separated with commas.
  6. The Address of the Institution should be written in Title Case. The Institution's name first, followed by the location. When more than one institutions are mentioned, type them in separate lines in the same order as the authors' names.
  7. The abstract must be written on a word processor (e.g. MS Office Word 1997-2003) using Tahoma font, size 10, single spacing and line spacing.
  8. Leave one blank row between paragraphs and use full justification.
  9. There should be no spaces between the title, author and institution/hospital paragraphs.
  10. There should only be one blank row between the institutions/hospitals and the text of the abstract.
  11. Paragraphs should not be indented.
  12. Each section must be analyzed in a separate paragraph, preceded by the relevant title.
  13. Abbreviations of terms can be used, provided their explanation is included in parentheses, when they are used in the text for the first time.
  14. The text should not exceed 250 words.
